I don't know if any of you actually like this absurd flood of Marvel/DC/graphic novel inspired movies, but through all the trite bullshit, there have been a few shining gems(Dark Knight, Iron Man, Hulk(non-Ang Lee), Sin City, and now Watchmen).

Now, two more amazing(possibly) films: Nick Fury (as played by Samuel L. Jackson(mother fucker)) and The Green Hornet.

Read for yourself about The Green Hornet, but I am fucking stoked! Seth Rogen?, and director Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine, Be Kind Rewind, and Science of Sleep...plus every White Stripes video).

It's also possible that I'm just a huge comic book nerd and am overly excited.

You've also got Iron Man 2, which begins filming soon for release next summer. Also next year is Thor, followed by Captain America in 2011. Then later in 2011, there will be an Avengers movie, which will include Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, and Captain America all together (as well as the aforementioned Nick Fury).

If I was going purely on a "hype" factor, I would've included Spiderman in my list of gems. However, I fucking hated those movies along with Elecktra, Daredevil, Fantastic 4. I don't expect Nick Fury to be good.

Id' much rather have a dark, gritty tale like Dark Knight or Watchmen/Sin City.

Elekshit was terrible..so was aeon flux. along with daredevil, fantastic 4, spiderman 3...yeah i liked the first two fawk you.

the dark knight pretty much destroyed every comic movie ever IMO.

Watchmen looks really promising though im stoked for that movie

I agree on Dark Knight, however I'm an old X-Men fan so I am looking forward to Wolverine.

Gambit = hands down best X-men character ever. Better than Juggernaut and way better than kitty.

I'm glad that Watchmen is coming out... but I'm seeing an advance screening very soon, and I'm hoping it's okay.

Also, Sin City 2 is going to rock my socks. Mainly cause of all the hot chicks. And the general badassery.

I'm expecting Watchmen to be disappointing so that when I finally see it, on the small chance that it doesn't make my eyes fall out from the awesome, I won't kill myself afterwards.

Sin City was awesome; can't wait for 2. Same for Iron Man.

I think the Wolverine movie seems lame from the trailers I've seen... no offense to anyone.

AND, I think I'm the only person in the world who liked Spiderman 3.

*I'm excited for Star Trek and Transformers 2 if those count...

yes you are, but seriously elektra and daredevil were just plain terrible. I loved the x-men movies especially x2 but that's just because i'm a huge x-men fan, TDK was awesome, but I seriously think joker fan boys have just put that movie completely over the top, thats coming from a HUGE batman fan, i really liked begins, maybe even more then TDK

I completely agree. I thought Ledger was amazing, but I honestly wonder what kind of attention his role would've gotten had he not died. I'm not meaning to be an asshole, I just really think that overhyped his role. A lot.

I have to agree there, they're pretty close for me.

I liked all of the X-Men movies and the first Spiderman.

I still haven't seen Iron Man OR Sin City v_v

Spirit I don't thing has been mentioned, but it looked totally shit.

Definitely psyched about Watchmen. Like whoa, hardcore-like psyched.

Pretty pumped for Wolverine, too, even if it's going to suck.

You need to see Sin City. NOW.

But watch The Spirit first. I think people who said it sucked were expecting another Sin CIty (which is epic). The Spirit is mostly a dark comedy; it doesn't take itself seriously. I thought it was hilarious, and I definitely think it's worth seeing once for Samuel L. Jackson.

The art direction in both movies is eye-popping btw.
