    Hiya folks...

Ok...since it came to my attention that our banner in L4D was being cutoff by people with screen resolutions lower than 1680 x 1050, I resized the banner a bit to try and compensate.

What I need is some screenshots of what the banner looks like at various resolutions. SO...if you run the game at any resolution OTHER THAN 1680 x 1050, please post a screenshot of what the screen looks like when you press the tab key, and note in the post the resolution the screenshot was taken at.

    Mucho gracias.

I'm running the 17" widescreen reso, which is something like 1400x900. I'm on campus right now, but when I get back home, I'll get a screenshot.

Thanks a ton, Xabu. That shows me what other people are seeing.

Unfortunately, I really don't see a way to scale it to lower resolutions without making it ridiculously small. I wish Valve would use an actual image, instead of pointing it to a page with an image. What a pain in the butt.

You'd think they would have anticipated this and implemented dynamic resizing...

No kidding...and I've tried everything I know to make it scale to all resolutions. That banner Emily made is so kickass, it's a shame that it gets cutoff for lower resolutions.

Yeah, I'm sure pretty much nobody other than me ever plays at resolutions this low, but since you asked for all, here's 720x480 v_v
I'm actually seeing more than Xabu's example, although that's probably because you've finagled it since then.

Unfortunately, there's no wat to make it scale to all resolutions. This is because, as opposed to doing something that makes sense, like setting a standard banner size, and then having the system point to that banner, Valve instead chose to have the system point to a page where that banner is hosted.

I've even tried detecting what resolution the viewer is using, and then pointing them to a different page, but apparently the in-game browser does not passe that info along.

It's a shame, because that banner (designed be Emily) is about the best one I've seen on any L4D server, and more people should be able to see it.

OK...I believe I have to banner scaling problem conquered. If anyone want to take a look at various resolutions and see if there are any problems, that would be appreciated.

Some day I'll muster the effort to get a Flickr account or something that won't shrink the shit out of screenshots.

Obviously some of these resolutions naturally look like shit with a 16:10 AR.
